Kaieteur Sports – The Guyana women’s 3×3 team continued to face challenges at the Central American and Caribbean (CAC) Games in El Salvador, as they suffered another lopsided loss.
Following their initial defeat of 8-21 against the Dominican Republic, the team consisting of Shania Sears, Jamaicy Ogle, and Kennesha Leacock encountered a stubborn Centro Caribe Sports (CCS) squad and were defeated by a score of 4-21.
The absence of Ruth Adams, a professional player based in Spain, further weakened the Guyanese team.
Guyana found themselves outmatched by the Centro Caribe Sports team, who were determined to secure a victory after their previous loss to the Dominican Republic (17-21).
Despite their struggles, the Guyanese women’s team will continue to compete in the classification round of the tournament today.
This presents an opportunity for them to regroup, analyse their performance, and strive to showcase their skills and determination in the upcoming matches.
