Kaieteur Sports – Anticipation has reached fever pitch as fans and participants alike set their sights on the Jumbo Jet Thoroughbred Racing Committee’s, One Guyana Breeders Cup Horserace Meet fixed for this Sunday. The event is being staged at the Bush Lot United Turf Club located at Sea View Park, Bush Lot, West Coast, Berbice and the organisers were pushing to get the venue all prepared and all other arrangements in place.
Fans will be treated to top class racing as most of the leading racehorses in Guyana and a few making the trip from Suriname are set to battle for the attractive cash prizes on offer. The side entertainment also promises to be to the fans desire and patrons are expected to leave the venue fully satisfied. A major sound clash of the leading DJ’s in the country looms and the venue promises to be rocking as the DJ’s spin their musical magic as the hunt bragging rights and lucrative cash prizes said to be in the vicinity of $3M.
While permanent stands are not yet in place at the venue, Nasrudeen Mohamed Jnr., head of the organising committee, has indicated this should not be a problem and fans will be comfortable. He had informed that four trailers have been brought in and placed alongside the track where the stands originally were.
