Kaieteur News – Twenty-year-old Shemina Peroune was on Saturday evening crowned Miss Guyana Culture Queen 2023.
Peroune was among nine young women vying for the coveted crown. The delegates stunned the National Cultural Centre stage with their talent pieces and mesmerizing outfits.
In the end, Peroune was crowned queen and also walked away with other special prizes including best in national dress and best in evening wear. She will be representing Guyana on the regional stage Miss Caribbean Culture Queen on August 7, in St. Kitts and Nevis.
The first runner-up of the Miss Guyana Culture Queen pageant 2023 went to Jasmaine Assanah, second runner-up Denica Henry and third runner-up Keri Duncan.
