Kaieteur News – The Customs Anti-Narcotics Unit (CANU) on Saturday busted a Lethem woman, Lorlyne Nadine Jefferys with $3M worth of marijuana.
A CANU release stated that the bust was made during an operation at the woman’s home at Tabatinga Lethem, Region Nine. Ranks found nine plastic wrapped parcels of suspected cannabis.
She was arrested and the drugs tested positive for marijuana, “and amounted to approximately 10kg (about 22 lbs) with a street value of approximately GUY $3M”, CANU stated.
Investigations are ongoing.
