Kaieteur News – Two men were on Wednesday jailed for robbing a man at Bourda Market, Lacytown, Georgetown last year.
The duo, Akeem Smith and David Fernandes, robbed their victim identified as Rasheed Abdool on December 4, 2022. They were arrested a few days later and were on trial in Georgetown Magistrates’ Court for the last six months.
Smith and Fernandes were convicted of the crime by Magistrate Rhondel Weever and on Wednesday, she sentenced them both to 18 months in jail.
