Kaieteur News – A career criminal convicted of robbery under arms has escaped from the Lusignan Prison on Tuesday.
Kaieteur News understands that the inmate, Ronaldo Parris, escaped around 02:00hrs by scaling a fence. Police have since launched a manhunt for his recapture.
Parris is a career criminal of Sophia who has been before the courts for several robberies and burglaries. In 2017, while in his teens, Parris was caught breaking into a house in Sophia. He was beaten by residents and was tied up before being handed over to the police.
In 202o, he was accused of stealing motorcycles and in 2022 he was charged for armed robbery and discharging a loaded firearm.
