Kaieteur Sports – The Guyana Squash Association (GSA) 2023 Seniors National Squash Championship is scheduled for July 1-9. The Guinness sponsored event will take place at the Georgetown Club Courts (GTC) and promises to leave an indelible mark on the hearts of players and fans alike.
Guinness with its unwavering commitment to promoting active talent, while fostering a sense of passion for the sport, will be sponsoring the 2023 edition of the National Seniors’ Squash tournament. This edition will continue to uphold its legacy while infusing fresh energy into the competition. The 2023 championship encompasses four draws, including the Men and Women Nationals as well as the Men and Women Veteran’s draw.
This competition will also set the stage for junior athletes transitioning into their senior years with the aim of announcing their athletic prowess as a senior player. While, the nation’s top senior squash players converge; promises to unleash their expertise, strategic brilliance, and unwavering determination on the courts. This championship has also become a beloved tradition for all squash players, uniting athletes from various ages and backgrounds.
However, this edition is set to elevate the sport to new heights and inspire a generation of aspiring senior squash players. As the anticipation builds for another captivating edition of the National Senior’s Squash Championship, our local stars such as six-time Caribbean champion, Nicolette Fernandes, senior Caribbean star sibling Ashley Khalil and Jason Ray Khalil, young Kirsten Gomes competing in her first competition as a senior and others, will prepare to deliver another exciting senior’s tournament.
