Kaieteur News – The Ministry of Education will soon spend approximately $68M to construct and furnish two new teachers’ living quarters in Region Seven. This was disclosed at the recent opening of tenders at the National Procurement and Tender Administration Board office (NPTAB).
It is estimated that $37.9M has been estimated to construct and furnish the living quarters for Eteringbang Village while $30M is estimated for the teachers’ quarters to be constructed and furnished at Bartica.
Kaieteur News recently reported that the Ministry of Education also intends to build and furnish teachers quarters at Campbelltown Village (estimated $18.6 million), Paramakatoi Village (estimated $40.2million) and Chenapou (estimated $20.2 million) all located in Region Eight.
This year, the Ministry of Education was allocated some $12 billion to improve educational facilities across the country.

Rehabilitation of Pool Deck at The National Aquatic Centre.
Ministry of Public Works
Procurement and delivery of multi-beam sonar with accessories and software.
Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation
Procurement of emergency medical supplies.
