Well-being of child was not handled with due care and attention

Dear Editor,

It is outrageous, being entrusted with a young child and his well-being is casually handled to the point of being unaware of his presence and he is locked in a vehicle for hours (GDN June 10). No amount of explanation could wash that away; this was a case of gross negligence.

But what is equally worrying is the daycare facility.    Was the child missed and was there an enquiry as to his whereabouts by the one(s/) trusted to keep him safe and well?  It is posited the well-being of the child was not handled with due care and attention.

This bothersome episode demands the facility be investigated before it becomes like that other facility where a fatality occurred a short while ago, or equally worse, like other facilities, of recent.
