Dear Editor,
The Appeal Court’s ruling in the unlimited liability guarantee case, until the substantial case is heard and determined, can be regarded as a win-win ruling. Both sides won.
The appellants got a stay on the High Court ruling, while the respondents saw the stay being accompanied by an order for the lodging of a sum within a stipulated timeframe or the stay will be dismissed. Neither side should see the outcome as a bad situation.
Regards,
Shamshun Mohamed
