Dear Editor,
Folks, ‘kit and caboodle’, being mowed out of their dwellings! No genuine efforts to resolve for the sake of our common humanity. Where did all the land go? Seems that what a country needs are folks to occupy empty spaces way out there.
Should be go East, West, North and South! Perhaps all the land is owned by private individuals! And when it’s needed for more private benefit, just get the police to remove unknowing folks. If the land is privately owned why is Police so involved. Private land evictions should be done with private funds and security.
Government of the day coming up with the most unoriginal slogan – ONE GUYANA!
Seems a national motto was not developed years ago – “ONE PEOPLE ONE NATION & ONE DESTINY”.
A bunch of folks who ought to know their history chose to ignore the original motto. So, we have a government that has its hands in all aspects of life. Imagine a Ministry of Sport & Culture!
Why would government be involved in these two life areas which belong to the people?
Government has a robust presence in the media. Why would government be actively involved in the media? Okay, we must be dealing in an environment that is different from a fully functioning free country.
Aha plantation has now swallowed up a country!
Sincerely,
Phil Edwards
