Kaieteur News – A fine half century from Tomesh Persaud coupled with incisive spells from Shahid Mohamed and Vinesh Ramnarine handed Wakenaam Rhinos a three-wicket victory over Wakenaam Eagles when the Wakenaam Cricket Committee/New Doctor’s Clinic U19 40-over tournament continued recently in Wakenaam.
Wakenaam Eagles took first strike and posted 152 all out in 25.4 overs at the Wakenaam Community Centre ground in Good Success. Justin Dowlin made 37 and Gladewin Henry jr 29. Vinesh Ramnarine claimed 3-10 and Shahid Mohamed 3 for 30.
Wakenaam Rhinos in reply scored 154 for 7. Tomesh Persaud struck 64 and
Trevel Evans 34. Gladewin Henry jr had 3 for 28 and Varendra Pooran 2 for 19.
