Kaieteur News – Guyana Harpy Eagles (GHE) opening batsman Matthew Nandu is the latest player from the Guyana team to be called up for the Headley-Weekes Tri-Series tournament.
Nandu, a former West Indies Under-19 opening batsman, made his First-Class debut during this year’s West Indies Championship (WIC) where he finished with 273 runs from five (5) matches including a century on debut against Barbados in the first round.
He joins Kevlon Anderson, Ashmead Nedd, Tagenarine Chanderpaul, Gudakesh Motie, Kevin Sinclair, Veerasammy Permaul, Nial Smith, and Tevin Imlach as nine players who have now been selected from the successful GHE team that won the WIC just a few weeks ago.
The President and Executive members of the GCB would like to congratulate the players selected for this series.
