Kaieteur News – The Sheltez Tennis Club and P&P Insurance Brokers and Consultants Ltd recently concluded their tennis camp on a successful note at the National Park.
Sheltez Tennis Club President, Ms Shelly Daly, in her remarks, mentioned that the camp is significant for development of young talent and for current players to be able to hone their skills to be able to perform at the international level.
Ms. Jaya Panday, representative of P&P Insurance, stated that the company has been sponsoring lawn tennis camps and a host of other sports for many years and was happy to be on board with Sheltez this year. She also noted that the camp teaches more than just tennis, it instils discipline and a sense of camaraderie amongst kids from a young age.
Ms Panday also commended the parents for taking the time to bring their children to the camp and was happy to see so many smiling faces. She also applauded Sheltez for its dedication to the continuous development of the sport.

This year’s camp attracted participants from age three who benefitted from the two-week training program at the National Park.
Prizes were awarded to the participants.
P&P Insurance Brokers along with Sheltez Tennis Club conveyed congratulations to parents and children for participating in the camp and the association expressed a heartfelt tank you to the sponsor P&P Insurance Brokers and Consultants Ltd for its continuous support.
