Guyana Committee of Service assists Junior Carifta athletes with spending allowance
Kaieteur News – The Guyana Committee of Service continues to assist the Junior Carifta athletes and management team with spending allowance.
The committee was formed when Guyana world rated boxer Clive Atwell needed urgent surgery in the USA. This was possible through Lady Ira Lewis and the committee which is made up sports personnel, Guyana top comedian and artiste.
Committee member Mr. Leslie Black (A.A) hands over sponsorship to manger Keith Campbell, Coach Mark Scott on the left, Coach Phillips on the right and the Carifta athletes.
Since the successful surgery of Mr Atwell they have continued to assist athletes with running shoes and sports gears and also assisting the less fortunate which includes the building of a home for Ms Rockell Martin, an individual in Bartica and a individual in Berbice.
