Kaieteur News – It was one sensational performance after another for Raekwon Noel in Curacao, where Guyana is competing at the CARIFTA Games Aquatics Championship.
Noel stole the show for Team Guyana in the Dutch Antilles, securing the country’s only medals so far at the event, which started in 1985, and wrapped up yesterday.
Noel first landed on top of the podium in the Boys 15 – 17 1500m freestyle, swimming 16 minutes, 17.92s (16:17.92), which was a new Personal Best.
Kimani Bellanger (16:24.48s) of Martinique and Trinidadian Nikoli Blackman (16:46.46s) finished second and third respectively.
The Guyanese swimmer returned in the boys 15-17 400m Individual Medley, where his time of four minutes, 42.51s (4:42.51) was better than Dominic Hilton (4:51.94) of the Cayman Islands and Trinidad and Tobago’s Zachary Anthony (4:54.36).
