GCB/GOG/MCYS Under-19 Boys Inter-Club Super-50 Tournament…
Kaieteur News – The Guyana Cricket Board (GCB) Government of Guyana (GOG) Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (MCYS), Under-19 Boys Inter-Club Super-50 Tournament 2023, continued on Monday, April 3, 2023, with recorded wins for Cotton Tree Die Hard Cricket Club and Tucber Park Cricket Club. The Demerara stage of the Tournament commenced yesterday.

Cotton Tree Die Hard beat Bath U19 by 194 runs
After posting a daunting 270-6 from their full allotment of 50 overs, it was an easy win after Bath could barely muster 66-10 in 21 overs.
Cotton Tree was indebted to opener Travis Dookharan who scored 74 while middle-order batsman Veer Farahd blasted 66 off 37 with 4 fours and 5 sixes.
Two respective 3 wicket hauls from the Cotton Tree pair of Arun Jaikaran and Shoaib Gaffur were enough to hand their team a comprehensive win.
Tucber Park beat Guymine by 130 runs
Tomani Ceasar scored a valiant 54 at the top, with identical scores of 22 from national batsman Zynul Ramsammy and Thierry Henry.
Deroj Dejonge grabbed 3-17 to lead his team’s bowling in a losing effort. In reply, Guymine were steamrolled for 72 after a brilliant spell from Gavin Kisten who bagged 5-16 with Carley Dejonge chipping in with 3 wickets. Just 20 runs from Shaquan Benjamin highlighted the innings for Tucber Park.
Today, Wednesday, April 5, 2023, the Malteenoes Sports Club will do battle with the Agricola Cricket Club at the Queens College ground.
Round-three of the Demerara matches of the GCB/GOG/MCYS Under-19 Boys Inter-County Super-50 Tournament, 2023, is termed the Qualifying Round. This round will generally be played on Thursday, April 6, 2023. However, today, at the Transport Sports Club, the Qualifier-5 match will have the winner of the match Transport Sports Club versus GT ONENEXT X1, opposing the Demerara Cricket Club.
The other Round-three Qualifying matches are the Qualifier-1 match, that is, the winner of Bel-Air Rubis U19 versus Enterprise, competing against the winner of the match Lusignan Cricket Club versus Buxton Cricket Club, at the Lusignan Community Centre ground.
The Qualifier-4 match will have the winner of the Malteenoes Sports Club versus Agricola Cricket Club opposing the Georgetown Cricket Club. The Qualifier-3 team will be the winners of the Round-2 match, that is, the match Everest Cricket Club versus the Muslim Youth Organization (MYO), as determined by the held draw.
On Saturday, April 8, 2023, the team of Qualifier-3 will oppose the winner of Qualifier-5, at the Queens College ground, and the Winner of Qualifier-4 will compete against the winner of Qualifier-1, at the Transport Sports Club ground. The winner of the Qullalifier-2 match drew the bye to the final, as determined in the held draw for the Demerara stage of the Tournament.
