Kaieteur News – Former Guyana and West Indies opening batsman Ryan Ramdass struck 103 retired-hurt as Everest Masters beat Leguan Masters by 110 runs in a 25-over fixture at Tushen ground, East Bank Essequibo on Sunday last.
The right-handed Ramdass hit nine fours and four sixes as Everest Masters raced to 269-3 from the 25-overs, while Leguan United responded with 159-8.
Apart from Ramdass, other solid contributions came from Sahadeo Hardiow with 46, Beemraj Ramkellawan with 39 not out and 38 from Lookeshwar Mahabeer.
Carlos Carter picked up two wickets for 25 runs from his maximum five overs.
When Leguan United batted, Mark Brathwaite made 27 and Iftikar Mohamed with 25. Mahabeer returned with the ball to capture 3-12 in his five-over display.
Mahabeer was named the player-of-the-match, while Carter copped the best-bowler prize. Ramdass was chosen as the best batsman. The trio received a trophy each, compliments of Supreme Petroleum, 3S legacy and J&V Supermarket.
