Dear Editor,
I want to express my sincere appreciation and admiration for your courageous work in exposing the truth and advocating for good governance in the oil and gas sector in Guyana. As a citizen who cares deeply about our country’s future, I am deeply grateful for your efforts to hold those in power accountable and to shed light on the complex and often opaque workings of the energy industry.
Your reporting has been invaluable in informing the public about the risks and opportunities presented by Guyana’s newfound oil wealth, as well as the challenges and obstacles that must be overcome to ensure that this wealth benefits all Guyanese, not just a privileged few. Your investigations have exposed corruption, conflicts of interest, and regulatory failures that threaten to undermine the integrity of our institutions and erode public trust.
Your advocacy for transparency, accountability, and democratic participation has been a beacon of hope in a time of uncertainty. By shining a light on the shadowy corners of the oil and gas industry, you have empowered citizens to demand a fair share of the benefits and to hold our leaders to account for their actions and decisions.
We know that your work is not easy or without risk for daring to speak truth to power. Yet you persist, driven by a sense of duty to your profession and your country. I salute your courage, your professionalism, and your dedication to the principles of freedom and justice.
Thank you for your service to Guyana and to the cause of good governance. Your work inspires us and gives us hope for a better future.
Regards,
Ashra Lu khan
