Dear Editor,
Protesting of citizens in any democratic society is a right however, such protest (s) must be conducted as per rules and regulations, in a peaceful and orderly manner, in order to be within the confines of the law.
What must stop immediately in Guyana is the frequent blocking of our roadways in a riotous way, attacks on citizens in the form of race-hatred, vandalism of property and robbery.
It is high time that this criminal culture which started since 1964 comes to an end. Our political and religious leaders must rise to the challenge and be in the forefront of bringing an end to these despicable acts of local terrorism.
Truly yours,
Paul Ramrattan
