Dear Editor,
Poor work by a contractor has led to severe flooding and brought untold misery and inconvenience to citizens in wards of south Georgetown. This is pure damn nonsense (that phrase again). But the question remains -who awarded the contract? Exactly. So even after following procurement procedures, protocols, and due diligence, this is the outcome. Monies wasted and communities suffering. There has to be the consideration of crucial consequences for this type of incompetence and ineptitude. Termination of contract should not be the only one. It is high time contractors get it right.
Sincerely,
Shamshun Mohamed
