Across at Hibernia ground, Hibernia Strikers suffered a 54-run loss to Queenstown Tigers. Tigers roared to a sufficient 236-7 from the allotment of 20-overs while the hosts were all out for 182 off 18 overs.

And at Airy Hall venue, defending champions Caribbean Cricket Club 2 defeated former champions Invaders Masters by nine wickets.
Invaders only mustered 140 all out in the penultimate over while Caribbean Cricket Club 2 surpassed the target in the 7th over. Former Essequibo Inter-County player Prashad Mahadeo struck an aggressive 73 while ace batsman Patrick Rooplall also showed belligerence by making 51 not out.
In Invaders’ innings, veteran batsman Ramesh Narine made 36 while Richie Bishop scored 35 as Yaseer Mohammed picked up 2-32 off his four overs.
The six-team competition is slated to continue this weekend with three matches on the Zorg Beach.
Sunrisers Masters will match their skills with Hibernia Strikers while Invaders Masters will come against Devonshire Castle Sports Club and Caribbean Cricket Club 2 will collide with Queenstown Tigers.
Notably, for this edition, the tournament is being played in memory of Dave Tajeshwar who was a long-time softball supporter. His brother Vo Tajeshwar is still one of the sponsors. The competition is set to climax March 12th.
