…Ramdeholl gets 4 wickets for 5 runs in a losing cause for Guyana
Kaieteur News – Trinidad and Tobago (TT) off-spinner Shaan Ramtahal’s five-wicket haul wrecked Guyana to lead his team to a 3-wicket victory in the third match of the Bilateral/Goodwill series yesterday at the Guyana National Stadium, Providence.
Guyana had earlier made 90 all out in 37.4 overs. Newcomer Khush Seegobin top scored with 20, and Ethan Silas scored 12 as only two batsmen got into double figures. Shaan Ramtahal was the chief destroyer again for TT with impressive figures of 5 for 21 of 8 accurate overs. Ramtahal now has 11 wickets in the three matches played so far. Tyler Ramroop and Aiden Owen had a wicket each.
In reply, TT got to their target of 91 in 28 overs. Vice-captain Mikaeel Ali, who looks a lot like West Indies star batsman, Nicholas Pooran, scored a shot-filled 37 off only 39 balls, decorated with 4 fours and 2 well-struck sixes. Ramtahal returned with the bat to score 9 not out under pressure. With four runs required for victory, it was Ramtahal who fittingly ended the match with a boundary through the leg side. Richard Ramdeholl was again among the wickets for Guyana with outstanding figures of 4 for 5 off 8 miserly overs in a losing cause.
The fourth and final match of the Bilateral/Goodwill series will be played tomorrow, Saturday, December 17, at the Guyana National Stadium, Providence, from 10:00 hours.
