Kaieteur News – In the continued effort to honour their social responsibility, the Guyana Police Force (GPF) is going all out to do things differently.
Some of the donors during the presentation of footballs to C-Division Commander, Assistant Commissioner, Khali Pareshram.
Of late, the force has adopted an aggressive drive as they enter into communities to interact with members, especially the youths.
In the ongoing programme the (GPF) recently received over 100 footballs from a number of business entities. According to GPF, the footballs received will be distribution to youths along the East Coast corridor.
The balls were handed over to the Commander of the East Coast Division Assistant Commissioner, Khali Pareshram. Among the donors were Mr. Howard Runcie, Mr. Charles Ramnarine and Mr. Ishaan Ramkellawan.
The main purpose of the donations were to have the police continuously engaging with youths and aid in the development of sports across the East Coast of Demerara and more so, Guyana.
After receiving the items, Pareshram thanked the donors for their contribution to the GPF and envisioned further collaborations in the future.
Efforts will be made to have this distribution continue country wide. (Samuel Whyte)
