Kaieteur News – Suri Trading on Thursday evening launched an award-winning line of Garibaldi sparkling wine, just in time for the Christmas holidays. The launch was held at the Tribe Gastronomic Lounge on Church Street, Georgetown.
Garibaldi is a product from neighbouring Brazil.
The Garibaldi line includes the Prosecco, Prosecco Rosé, the Ice Prosecco, Moscatel, Moscatel Rosé, Extra Brut, Rosé Brut, Pinot Noir and the Chardonnay wines.
All of the wines were available for sampling at the launch and based on the feedback from attendees, Garibaldi is a must have at your parties, dinner table or even at a date night.
Lester Glenn, owner of a Wine distributing Company in Florida, USA said, “I heard it is from Brazil and it’s not a bad wine…not a bad wine.”
Corey Allen, another customer who attended the launch said, “It’s excellent” while disclosing that Garibaldi has a flavour for almost any event.
“This one (pointing to a bottle Prosseco Rosé) is good for date night, the alcohol percentage is low and it is on the sweeter side and if you want something stronger for a party, there is the Prosecco Ice”, a gleeful Allen said.
The Prosecco Rosé was the favourite among the ladies who attended the launch and sampled the Garibaldi Line of wines.
Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Suri Trading, Frank Sanichara, told Kaieteur News that Garibaldi is an international brand of wine that has won over 70 awards at wine shows in France, Argentina, Chile and many other countries.
Sanichara said since the wine’s introduction to Guyana, sales have been climbing making the wine popular. He disclosed that introductory prices are being offered for a few months.
Garibaldi wine is available in almost all of the local supermarkets including DSL and Foodmax. Prices for a bottle of the award-winning wine range from $4500 to $6000 at local supermarkets. However, persons desirous of purchasing the wine wholesale can contact Suri Trading on telephone number 233-2473.
