Dear Editor,
In observance of International Men’s Day which is celebrated on the 19th of November, on behalf of every woman, child and man, I would like to say thank you.
Thank you to the men with purpose, value and passion for all things right.
The men with morals and a history of good intentions.
The men that are our protectors, our safe space and our home.
The men that make it their duty, to ensure, at the end of the day, their existence contributes to yours.
Thank you to the men that go to war to ensure it, the ones back home are safe.
Thank you to the men that go to work to ensure it, the ones back home are fed.
Thank you to the men that go to bed to ensure it, the ones under their roof are at peace.
Men with ambition to make themselves better, who without a doubt can be trusted with the weight of the world in their hands. These men deserve everything. These selfless men, deserve everything. If you are a good father, a good husband, a good son, a good mentor, we respect you. And for the boys, who are yet to become men, for it is not age that makes you a man, but mindset. Learn that men do not always dress in suit and tie, their uniform is really their character.
Regards,
Ms. Saaya Prasad
