Kaieteur News – The New Doctor’s Clinic Cricket Club has rewarded Tanika Sukhdeo, the top Region Three student at this year’s National Grade Six Assessment (NGSA). Managing Director of the entity and club Captain Satyendra Khemraj presented her with a trophy and a new laptop to further her studies.
Sukhdeo, of the Academy of Excellence, got 516 marks and secured a place at Queen’s College.
Khemraj said that this is more than just a Corporate Social Responsibility, as it is important to make investments in the next generation.
“Success comes with hard work and warrants rewards. Ms. Sukdeo has done exceptionally well for herself, her family, school and region, and we saw it fit to support her future endeavors”, Khemraj noted.
“Education is a vital ingredient for transformation and enhancement, and this is why we are supporting the young generation”, Khemraj said.
The entity has also sponsored an U19 tournament in Wakenaam and has supported other cricket clubs and players.
