Georgetown FA Senior League KO round
Kaieteur News – With Santos and Georgetown Football Club (GCF) already cementing their presence in the semi-finals, they are now awaiting the respective winners of this evening’s final two quarter-final matches of the Georgetown Football Association (GFA) Senior League set for the GFC ground from 18:00hrs.
Guyana Defence Force (GDF), will be going all out to add another scalp to their list when they open this evening against GT Panthers which defeated Santos 2-1 in their final group match to advance to the knock-out stage.
The Panthers, however, would relish taking down another of the big teams in their opponent tonight which stands in the way of them moving on as losers are sent packing. Kelton Thomas and Vincent Thomas, the players who scored the two goals in the win over Santos will be hoping for similar fortunes against the GDF, a much tougher opponent.
Dequan Sealey and Quince Aulder will also seek to add substance to the GT Panthers’ attack. The GDF will not be playing around and are expected to unleash their fire power from the first whistle.
The likes of Benjamin Opara, Olvis Mitchell, Ryan Hackett, Delroy Fraser, Jeremy Garrett, Amos Ramsay, Kelsey Benjamin, Sherwin Caesar, Anthony Benfield, Delon Adams, and Omar Sam, among others.
This evening’s main attraction between the Guyana Police Force and Western Tigers is anticipated to be a true humdinger of a clash between two well-oiled units which are being coached by current National Technical staff, Wayne Dover, and Charles Pollard.
The Guyana Police Force starting X1 will be picked from Oswald Cornette, Omar Jones, Threvon Pluck, Travis Jones, Deshane Garnett, Sealon Sue, Raushan Ritch, Shemar Fraser, Devon Padmore, Rawle Thornhill, Ronaldo Dover, Dorwin George, Jermaine Junor, Pernel Schultz, Jemar Harrigan, Dwayne Lindie, Jamal Harvey, Junior Redmon, Kenneth Opara, and Adrian Arron.
Western Tigers FC will look to the likes of Daniel Wilson, Marcus Wilson, Nicholai Andrews, Leroy Pedro, Bertie Pedro,
Raphael Edwards, Seon Taylor, William Europe, Cecil Jackman, Eusi Phillips, Andrew Murray, Michael Oie, and Joshua Liverpool to deliver the goods for them.
A pulsating night of action is expected. The semi-finals are set for Sunday evening at the same venue from 17:00hrs when GFC will match skills with the winner of the GDF vs GT Panthers game, while Santos will lock horns with the winner of this evening’s main attraction.
