Kaieteur News – Wakenaam Strikers beat Wakenaam Royals by two runs when the Seeraj Bhimsain U19 40-over competition continued recently.
Batting first at the Wakenaam Community Centre ground after the match was reduced to 20 overs due to rain, Wakenaam Strikers made 93-7.
Golcharran Chulai scored 22 not out while Toshall Surujpaul and Bhomesh Lall made 10 each as Mahase Ramnarine took 2-4, Gladewin Henry bagged 2-9 and Jayden Dowlin took 1-1.
Wakenaam Royals were bowled out for 91 in 16.1 overs as Henry scored 32 and Ramnarine made 28. For the opposition, Lall claimed 3-14, Tomesh Persaud had 3-21 and Chulai claimed 2-19.
