Kaieteur News – De last T 20 World Cup was a disaster fuh de West Indies. But dis one is a catastrophe. De team nah even get past de qualifiers. Dat is de lowest point in West Indies cricket.
And all de time de West Indies do bad is de players wah does sometimes – not all de times – be held accountable. Brian Lara never win a World Cup tournament. But some seh it contribute to ending his international career. He was not de first and will not be de last.
De West Indies Cricket Board promising a post-mortem. Dem understand de depressions wah de people in de Region experiencing by this recent turn of events.
But post mortem nah gan solve de problem. De problem is de quality of cricket in de Region. De majority of we players not ready as yet. All yuh needed to do is to look at de international ranks. Deh had a time when West Indies used to have five and six players in de batting ranks and de same amount in de bowling ranks.
Fuh de top 10 fuh batting rankings fuh one day international, we nah gat no players. Fuh de top 10 fuh bowling ranks, we nah gat none. Fuh de top 10 all-rounders we nah gat none. So how we expect fuh get a proper team when we nah gat no top 10 players?
Fuh de T 20, we only gat one player in de bowling ranks. And he gan soon lose he place because he nah playing in de T 20 World Cup finals. So how we expect fuh get past de qualifers
Post-mortem can’t bring back dead. So nah waste time with post-mortem. De team nah ready and nah gan be ready fuh a lang, lang time.
Talk half. Leff half !
