EBD S/D T20 Competition
Sandpipers, Herstelling B and Patricia Sawmill registered victories when the East Bank Demerara Cricket Association S/D T20 competition continued recently.
At Laluni, Sandpipers beat the host by seven wickets. Sandpipers CC won the toss and decided to bowl first after the match was reduced to 15 overs. Laluni CC made 111-6. Derick Tejnarine scored 43 as Vinash Rampersaud took 2-6 and Riyad Sattaur 2-10, Sandpipers CC responded with 112-3 in 14.1 overs. Ron Percival scored 62 off 28 balls with three fours and three sixes.
Herstelling B sports Club claimed victory over Continental by four runs. Batting first, Herstelling B sports Club posted 155-9. Jermin Ramroop made 44, Chemroy Kendell 40 and Quazim Yusuf 30. Trevor Benn took 2-15, S. Sankar 2-22. Continental replied with 151. Budhan Baksh picked up 3-9.
Patricia Sawmill overcame Eccles by three wickets.
Eccles batted first and made 102 all out in 17.4 overs. Totoram Bissun made 30, Kevin Plantz 18 and Imran Housain 14. E. Gomes claimed 4-10 and E. John 2-8.
Patricia Sawmill responded with 103-7 in 10.5 overs. A. Barro stroked 52 from 25 balls with four six fours and two sixes and E. Gomes made 17. Plantz captured 4-18 and Kaysia Schultz 2-14.
