Albion squeezed past Rose Hall Canje by two wickets at the Jai Hind Ground in an exciting semifinal match.
Rose Hall Canje scored 83 all out in 28 overs; with Avishkar Persaud 20, Zadeen LaRose 17, Lakeram Singh 10. Bowling for Albion; Berbice Under15 left arm spinner Kumar Deopersaud grabbed 4 for 16 off 10 overs with 2 maidens, Tameshwar Manga 3 for 15 off 6 overs and Afraz Budhoo 2 for 22 off 7 overs.
In reply Albion scored 84 for 8 in 24.2 overs after losing early wickets. Ari-Afraz Kaidr 27 and Damion Cecil 20 were the only two batsmen to reach double figures in the chase. Bowling for Rose Hall Canje; Enrique Mickle 4 for 22 off 4 overs and Sanjay Algoo 3 for 25 off 9.2 overs were the outstanding bowlers.
Port Mourant brushed aside Cotton Tree by 10 wickets at the PMCC Ground.
Cotton Tree batting first after winning the toss scored 78 all out in 28 overs with Trevis Dookharan 17. Bowling for Port Mourant; Salim Khan 2 for 18 off 6 overs, Rampertab Ramnauth 2 for 18 off 6 overs, Romeo Deonarine 2 for 2 off 2 overs and Ravin Boodwah 2 for 12 off 4 overs.
In reply, Port Mourant CC raced to 82 without loss in 9.4 overs with Guyana Under19 opening batsman Rampertab Ramnauth scoring 50 not out and Romeo Deonarine 19 not out. The tournament is been organised by the Berbice Cricket Board with sponsorship from West Indies and Guyana senior player Kevin Sinclair.
