The Georgetown Cricket Association (GCA) Nex-Gen Primary School’s Coaching Primary program sponsored by Guyana Beverages Inc., located on the East Bank of Demerara, continued last Friday in the City.
The five schools at which sessions were Ketley Primary; coached by Akaze Thompson, Rama Krishna Primary; coached by Kervin Ross, St Anne’s Agricola Primary; coached by Pernel Christie, Redeemer Primary; coached by Dorian Best and South Ruimveldt Primary; coached by Kenroy Joseph.
The eight-week program, which was launched on September 14 and ends in the third week of November, involves eight schools with 400 students participating; half of them being girls and other half are boys.
At the completion of the program, 14 of the best students of each school (7 boys & 7girls) will be taken on a tour of Queen’s College before going onto the QC Ground for a competition.
To gain selection the pre-teens must have an 80 percent attendance at school, doing well in Academics and be disciplined and attentive.
