Horse Race action set for Bush Lot Farm today

The Kennard Memorial Turf Club will be hosting a horse race meet today from 13:00hrs at Bush Lot Farm, Corentyne.

The meet will be the first since covid and the passing of former justice and chairman of the club, Cecil Kennard.

Since his passing, his widow, Chan Kennard has taken over the mantle of that position at the club.

She has a wealth of experience having worked very closely with the late Kennard for over 50 years, promoting the sport. She will be assisted by Basil Bactowar.

Bactowar is a retired Animal Sceintist who worked with the Ministry of Agriculture, British Colombia as a livestock and horse industry specialist for 16 years and also as an extension director with the University of Flordia.

Mrs. Kennard has expressed gratitude to their previous sponsors and look forward to their continued support.
