Former National Table Tennis player and proprietor of Dominion Enterprise, Dwayne Munroe handed out Scholarships and financial assistance to University of Guyana students from the community of West Ruimveldt in an effort to assist with their educational development.
This has been an annual feature of Dominion Enterprise since its existence which is part of the company’s commitment to corporate social responsibility.
Over the years a number of youths in the community have benefitted from this kind gesture by Dominion Enterprise.
In an invited comment the proprietor said, “As Guyana moves on a path towards becoming a developed nation, Dominion Enterprise believes that investment in our Human Capital is critical to the future of this nation. Only with quality investment in our people can we deliver real outcomes and ensure that every citizen has the opportunity to earn a fair income, live a healthy life, and contribute to society.
We firmly believe that an educated, healthy, productive population is essential to reducing poverty and achieving sustainable economic growth and prosperity as a nation.”
Mr. Munroe told this year’s recipients that education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to make positive change in today’s society and encouraged them to continue to strive for excellence.
