Gavin Prashad continued his prolific run in Canada having smashed a magnificent, unbeaten 142 for Tricity Raven in the 2022 Canadian Premier Softball Cricket League Regular Season 20-over competition last Sunday.
Playing at Firgrove Public School ground, North York, Toronto, the right-handed Prashad clobbered 18 sixes and five fours as his team piled up a gigantic 275-2 off 20-overs while Island Boys were dashed out for 34 in 10th over.
Prashad, who recently scored a century, got support from Kampta Ramcharran who made an attacking 81 and 33 from skipper Roopnarine Lalbehari.
Only Roopchand Katwaru with 11 as the only batsman to make double-figure in Island Boys’ chase. Naurang Brigmohan grabbed four wickets for 15 runs from his maximum four overs. Steve Gulabsing and Prashad also made an impact with the ball by claiming two wickets each.
Details from the other matches were not available but the competition is set to resume on Sunday with a bunch of matches across the Greater Toronto Area.
