…unregistered horses will be scratched
Kaieteur News – The Bugle has been blown, and this is the last chance for all owners and trainers, who are wishing to enter their two and three-year-old horses for the Guyana Cup day of racing on Sunday 7th August, 2022 to get them registered.
Therbhuwan Jagdeo, who has been collaborating with Nasrudeen Mohamed from the Jumbo Jet Thoroughbred Committee (JJTC) in respect to the rules of entry and racing on the Guyana Cup Day of racing announced, “If you know that your two and three-year-olds have not been registered. You will be given an opportunity to have your unregistered horses registered and micro chip on Saturday from 8.00am at Rising Sun Race Club (RSRC) Rising Sun Village, Berbice.”
Jagdeo stated, “Dr Dwight Waldrond will be on the site from very early to have unregistered horses regularised.”
Jagdeo warned, “No horse/s will be allowed to take entry if they are not properly registered. Entry for unregistered horses will be thrown out by the JJTC when it is lodged on or before 7th August, 2022.”
Jagdeo also revealed, “All horses entered to race on the day will have to undergo a veterinary inspection from 8.00am at RSRC on Sunday 14th August, 2022.”
In closing Jagdeo ended, “We wish to thank everyone in advance for their cooperation to make Guyana Cup day of racing a major success not only for themselves, or the promoters, and horse racing, but doing the country proud.”
Further information on the day’s activities will be announced on a daily basis.
