Berbice is often considered as the ancient county that thrives on the closeness of their communities. Many have expressed their utter passion for horseracing as most of the active racing tracks are in the Berbice area. From a dream that was born over 14 years ago to now hosting the biggest horseracing event in the Caribbean, Nasrudeen “Junior” Mohamed is dedicated to be the driving force behind this mega event. With first-hand experience as a trainer and event promoter, especially since he was part of the transition of Guyana Cup, his father’s legacy was casted in stone and handed down so all of the horse owners and stables can work together to present world class horseracing.
