Kaieteur News – Leading lumber retailer, Forrester Lumber Yard, has pledged their support for the 2022 edition of the Guyana Cup. They have been instrumental in sponsorship over previous years and continue to contribute to the upliftment and sustainability of Horse Racing.
The management was offered the opportunity to reserve a specially designed VVIP elevated deck equipped with all the services required for the upper echelon experience. The deck is expected to provide an elevated aerial of the track with an ideal view for the concert that is expected to start at 6pm. The area will be totally cordoned off with their personal waitstaff, cleaners and security. The access for the VVIP ticket holders would be hassle free with a newly designed car park located on the infield.
Forrester Lumber Yard has diversified tremendously over the years and is poised to make their mark in the rapidly growing civil and building industry. The company is approximately 26 years old with over 100 employees at their Stewartville, West Coast Demerara location. The business has five large bonds and from selling lumber, he has added a huge hardware section to cater for the building needs of the people in the community. The company has stated that the goal of the business is to provide employment for the young residents of Stewartville and to develop the human resource of the community.
When contacted, company CEO Andrew Forrester indicated, “We have been an avid supporter of Guyana Cup for some time now. The organizers are really going the extra mile this year especially after the track was in such bad shape after the two-year gap in racing. I could imagine how difficult it may be to fund the restoration work for the track and field under these weather conditions, so I decided to show my support for this upcoming Guyana Cup. My entire team is extremely excited to attend this year, some for the horse racing and the rest geared up for the live concert from 6pm.”
Only a few weeks away from the biggest Horse Racing Event in the Caribbean the JJTRC has already started their much anticipated Guyana Cup Road Show that rolled into Stabroek market carpark on Friday 21st.
On Sunday 14th August at the Rising Sun Turf Club the competition will be stiff with over 100 horses set to enter the 8 races for over $30,000,000 in cash prizes. Get there before noon to avoid the rush and remember indoor parking is available for over 1,000 cars.
