Majestic CC overcome Phoenix CC by three wickets
Majestic CC defeated Phoenix CC by three wickets when the teams collided recently in the New York national league 40 overs competition at 73rd Avenue ground.

Batting first, Phoenix CC made 164 all out in 37 overs. Hemendra Ramdihal made 33 while Jonathan Foo scored 26, Kristopher Ramsaran 22 and Tejpaul Bishudat 21. Javed Karim and Karamchand Ramnarine each took 2-24 while Wasim Haslim had 2-31 and Telson Johnson 2-33.
Majestic CC responded with 167-7 in 30.5 overs. Derick Narine struck four fours and a similar number of sixes in a top score of 50 off 28 balls while Rajiv Ivan made 42 with three fours and two sixes off 42 balls. Jeetendra Sookdeo scored 36 as Andre Kirton claimed 3-13 and Kristopher Ramsaran 2-48.
