– as 137 new cases recorded
Kaieteur News – There are currently three patients in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit (ICU), even as 37 persons are in institutional isolation and 974 are in home isolation.
This is according to information released on Saturday by the Ministry of Health. It was revealed too that from 639 tests, 137 new infections were recorded within the last assessed 24-hour period.
The 137 cases – 76 men and 61 women – have now brought the total number of confirmed cases to 68,867. The new infections, according to the Ministry, were detected in Region Four – 75 cases; Region Nine – 39 cases; Region Seven – eight cases; Regions Three and 10 – two cases each; Region Two – three cases, and Regions One and Six – one case each.
To date, a total of 66,589 persons have recovered from the virus.
