I have been around GuySuCo for some time and am somewhat familiar with the operations.
I was unhappy when I saw in the June 30, 2022 Kaieteur News reporting that the GuySuCo CEO said Game tractors has been utilized in the industry for the past fifteen years. Editor that is a glorified untruth and a completely misleading statement.
I saw the CEO hiding behind the skirt of the Cabinet articulated that he does not operate without instructions. I am not doubtful about what he said but in fairness to President Ali and his Ministers they have so much to discuss and examine at Cabinet I am doubtful that they could really examine the GuySuCo tractor issue in great detail. The goodly men and women of the Cabinet depend on the technical expertise and advice of the people who are procuring the items. The CEO in my view is trying to scapegoat the Cabinet. That is unfair. I believe that the President before more tractors are purchased should engage persons with the know-how and let them advice and guide him. Mr. President I want to see sugar succeed and I want to see you succeed but you got some people who are pulling you down rather than building you up.
