Dear Editor,
One media house tells of a glorifying rousing and affectionate welcome…popularity on display…plan and vision among other eloquent terms including a poem, (News Room June 16).
Another media house tells of a disturbing episode of alleged incurred wrath and anger evoking a harsh and loud response over a simple oil block question amid the swell mood and hype, (KN June 16).
If the latter report is true why would a simple question be met with such harsh and perceived umbrage? The report also speaks of the audience and emcee laughing forcing the female farmer to leave the event, maybe in humiliation and embarrassment. No citizen should be treated in this manner and belittled, where again it is alleged during the response on oil blocks it was stated, ‘if she wants she could submit a bid fuh one’. Such ill-humour and unbecoming, like the hand shake episode, of a statesman.
