Dear Editor,
People make choices that affect their lives and others. Some of these choices lead to success and some to failure.
The question is how do we measure the successes in our lives? Is it enough to be materially successful or do we need spiritual uplifting as well? What about respect from others? Do people respect you when you are successful or envy you?
I submit that people would respect you when you are successful if they understand and can see how that success came about.
What about the opposite to success? That is, failure? Do we learn to deal with failure or do we get into a negative mindset and give up trying, blaming circumstances and everyone else but ourselves?
Success and failure are comparative terms. You are never going to know you are successful unless you have had some failures in life. As well as, you never know how successful you are unless you are comparing with the fortunes of others.
Yours faithfully,
Sean Ori
