Kaieteur News – In support of the Tiger Bay project facilitated by members of the Community Open Door Alliance, Digicel Guyana has delivered on its promise to donate several laptops.
Kaieteur News understands that this donation will support the phase one aspect of this project, which is geared towards training in literacy and numeracy skills for children of Tiger Bay. Digicel said it commends this initiative and the works of Community Open Door Alliance as they seek to create a safe space for the youth in the area by encouraging positive lifestyle changes through learning and education.
Digicel has committed to the members of the group to continue their support towards this project for both phases one and two as they seek to aid in the development of children and youth.
“We have over the years been committed to fostering the development of youth, and this initiative is one that we give our support to one hundred percent. We are optimistic that this will grow into something much bigger and influence more children.
“This community is always close to our hearts since it is within the direct environs of our offices. We would like to wholeheartedly thank the members of this Alliance for this project and we look forward to continuing our support, as we positively impact the lives of the children and families of Tiger Bay,” added Ms. Simone Pierre of Digicel.
