Dear Editor,
“Lack of sex education contributes towards sexual assault” could not be further from the truth.
In 1992 the school system in the United States came up with the idea that both boys and girls between 13 -15 years should be educated about sex and their bodies.
BIG MISTAKE if there were ever one in this category. This so-called sex-education only served to peak the interest of these young boys already raging hormones. The result was there were a drastic number of 14 -15 year old girls giving birth to babies in 1993. The whole outcome had just the opposite effect from what the so-called experts thought would be in the best interest of their young teens. Needless to say it was agreed by the school board there would not be any more sex education to children by anyone in their schools.
This is all true, I was a resident of New York at the time.
Yours truly,
Gloria Holder
