Kaieteur News – Despite dwindling cases, five women are the latest to contract the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), according to information released by the Ministry of Health on Tuesday.
These, the Ministry revealed were recorded during the last assesses 24-hour period. Detected in Region Six, which recorded one, and Regions Three and Four which recorded two each, the cases have brought the total number of confirmed cases to 63,380.
The dashboard data shows that six persons are in institutional isolation, 92 are in home isolation and six are in institutional quarantine.
Additionally, the Ministry revealed that during the last assessed 24-hour, five persons recovered from the virus, bringing the total recovery cases to 62,054.
To date, the country’s death toll stands at 1,228.
