East Coast Cricket Board/ Navin-Hanso 50overs First Division…
Kaieteur News – Enterprise, Enmore, Better Hope, Fairfield and LBI registered wins when the second round of matches in the East Coast Cricket Board/ Navin-Hanso 50Overs first division cricket competition continued last weekend.

At Enterprise cricket ground, batting first, Mahaica SC were skittled out for 49 all out in 14.4 overs. B. Samaroo had figures of 4-13 off 5overs, while Rajendra Chandrika had figures of 2-27. Enterprise in reply, raced to 55 for the loss of 1 wicket in just 5overs. H. Dindyal struck a quick-fire 25, while V. Albert hit 18 not out. Enterprise Busta Sports Club won by 9 wickets.
ECCCC vs Lusignan SC
ECCCC racked up 266 all out in 43.2overs of a 45 over game with Chaitram Balgobin top scoring with 70, while Amir Khan followed up his century in the first round with a shot filled 63.Vishwanauth Ramlakhan also contributed well with an even 50. Bowling for Lusignan Sports Club, Karamchand Persaud had a five wicket haul to finish with figures of 5-48 off 9overs and Navin Persaud 2 wickets for 48 runs. Lusignan in reply could only muster 86 before they were dismissed in the 28th over. Stephen Ramdas top scored with 36. Balgobin returned with the ball to grab 4 wickets for 4 runs off 4overs and Yuvraj Dayal had figures of 2-5.
Better Hope Vs Ogle
Better Hope won the toss and inserted Ogle to bat in a game reduce to 45overs. Ogle mustered a paltry 41 all out in 21 overs with former national youth batsman Sachin Singh bagging 4-15 off 9 overs and Rajendra Singh supporting with 3-14, while Ravi Singh also had a 3 wicket haul in his 6overs which went for a meagre 8 runs. Better Hope then raced to 48/3 in 11.2 overs.
Fairfield Rivals vs Strathavon SC
Fairfield batting first after winning the toss made 144 all out in 35 overs. Former national under19 batsman Ramnarine Chatura stroked an even 50. Bowling for Strathavon SC, Prakash Chowtie took 3-26 and Ajay Persaud 3-20. In reply, Strathavon SC managed 131 all out in 31.3 overs to lose by 13 runs. Gobindram Hemraj top scored with 36. Ramnarine Chatura returned with the ball to take 4-25, while Karpov George took 3-16 bowling for Fairfield Rivals.
LBI CC vs Buxton CC
Over at LBI Facility ground, LBI won the toss and batted first compiling 273 for 9 from 50overs with Ariel Tilku 75, Nizam Khan 52, Alex Algoo 34, Richard Dowlatram 24. Bowling for Buxton CC, Anthony McFarlene took 2 for 45 from 10 overs. Buxton in reply, limped to 101 all out from 26 overs with Owen Andrews contributing 31.Yojeshwar Bishun had impressive figures of 5 for 29, while Dowlatram had 3 for 19 and Tilku took 2 for 22.
