Kaieteur News – Georgetown CC, Muslim Youth Organisation, Demerara CC and Police have advanced to the semi finals of the Georgetown Cricket Association New Building Society second division 40-over competition.
Meanwhile, GCC, MSC, DCC and Everest have qualified for the Noble House Sea Foods 2nd division two-day semi finals. According to Chairman of the GCA competitions committee Shaun Massiah, they are hoping to stage one of the semi final games in the NBS 40-over competition and one semi final match in the Noble House Sea Foods two-day tournament this weekend and the remaining semi finals next weekend which will be followed by the finals.
Below are the points standing:
NBS 2nd division 40 overs – ZONE A – GCC 136, MYO 113, UG 97, GDF 83, MSC 76, GYO 57, Diplomats 40, Third Class 13.
ZONE B – DCC 124, Police 102, Everest 102, Transport SC 98, GNIC 72, SOPHIA 48, Ace Warriors 39 and Bel Air Rubis 38.
NB: please note that Police and Everest ended on the same points and as such Police have advanced because they won against Everest in the preliminary round.
Noble House Seafoods 2nd division ZONE A: GCC 163, MSC 113, GDF 108, GYO 106, MYO 95, GNIC 54 and Ace Warriors 29.
ZONE B: DCC 148, Everest 129, Transport 114, U.G. 106, POLICE 102, Bel Air Rubis 69, Diplomats 66 and Third Class 27.
