Kaieteur News – The Ministry of Health on Tuesday reported that three more persons, two men and a woman who contracted the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) disease, died.
The latest fatalities are that a 55-year-old woman from Region Three, a 69-year-old man from Region Six and a 54-year-old man from Region Four, who died over a three-day period (February 12 to 14) while receiving treatment at a medical facility.
As a result of this, the country’s COVID-19 death toll has moved to 1,199.
Meanwhile, in its daily COVID-19 dashboard the Ministry recorded 95 new infections, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 62,360. The dashboard also shows that seven patients are admitted into the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 83 persons in institutional isolation, 1,289 in home isolation and 30 in institution quarantine. To date, a total of 59,782 persons have recovered from the virus.
